The VK960 Specific Application Pendent Vertical Sidewall (VSW) Window Sprinkler is a quick response glass bulb, automatic sprinkler. The VK960 is used with fixed glazed assemblies to provide an alternative to a fire resistance rated wall assembly. A Horizontal Sidewall (HSW) version, VK962, is also available to meet design needs. The window sprinklers feature a unique spray pattern that coats the surface of the glass with water, reducing the risk of cracking or shattering in the event of a fire. The special Polyester and Electroless Nickel PTFE (ENT) coatings can be used in decorative applications where colors are desired. In addition, these coatings have been investigated for installation in corrosive environments and are listed/approved as indicated in the Approval Charts.
